Weaver-Pettiford History
At our February meeting, genealogist Norma Johnson led a Zoom presentation on the Pettiford-Weaver families and the history of free Black settlement in Grant County.
The Weaver settlement in Liberty Township began in the 1840s, and by the 1880s had about 2,000 residents.
